Pricing Manager

Hybrid - London (1x day per week)
£60,000 - £80,000 + benefits

The Role

As a Home Risk Pricing Manager, you will lead a small team while delivering pricing strategies that drive business performance and improve risk selection.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading and developing a team of pricing analysts through coaching, mentoring, and technical guidance
  • Prioritising pricing initiatives to support profit and growth objectives
  • Analysing policy, claims, quote, and market data to identify opportunities for pricing optimisation
  • Evaluating and implementing new data sources, methodologies, and analytical approaches
  • Reviewing predictive models developed by actuarial and data science teams
  • Determining the most effective application of model outputs within pricing algorithms
  • Identifying customer segments and pricing opportunities to improve commercial performance
  • Building and maintaining automated analytical tools to generate pricing insights
  • Partnering with underwriting, actuarial, data science, engineering, fraud, and commercial stakeholders across the business
  • Supporting wider underwriting and strategic projects that deliver measurable business value

Your Skills & Experience

  • Strong commercial experience within general insurance pricing, risk analytics, or a related function.
  • Experience leading or mentoring analysts within a pricing or analytics environment
  • Advanced analytical and coding capabilities, ideally using Python
  • Ability to work confidently with large, complex datasets and statistical concepts
  • Strong understanding of predictive modelling and pricing methodologies
  • Experience translating analytical insights into commercial actions
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Curious, proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation
