The Pricing & Promotions Specialist will provide thought leadership & best-in-class expertise to the International Markets (IM) business in pricing, promotion & pack architecture in order to support IM to achieve its business goals. The nature of the role is truly international. It requires working closely with the local teams in the following countries: Italy, Nordics, Middle East & Chile
Key Responsibilities
- Defining the pricing strategy of Twinings in key markets supporting the brand vision
- Analysing the price of Twinings and competition in segment level regularly to identify the correlations and existing price corridors (Win, Sustain, Lose ranges)
- Maintaining and regularly updating a pricing history database
- Conducting the price elasticity analysis for Twinings and key competition especially after the price-up periods
- Managing the total pricing procedure, enhancing processes to make most of efficiencies and ensuring timely response to market condition
- Analysing financial impact of price approach in view of overall history and commercial risks
- Providing the insights to the price/pack architecture supporting the category strategy in respective markets
- Designing the promotional strategy for each market based on ‘the role of promotion in the market’ and ‘the purchase decision criteria’ for Twinings, key competition, and the category in overall
- Analysing the promo history and conducting ROI/incrementality analysis for each customer/channel in key markets
- Identifying the right promo mechanics and formats to support in the promotions in order to maximize the uplift and improve efficiency
- Understanding the key retailer dynamics, tools and practices in the market to find smarter solutions for promotions that fit Twinings strategy and brand positioning most
- Reviewing the promo plans regularly and providing on time feedback to the local teams and the distributors
- Contributing to the business performance updates by providing the price and promo analysis based on in-market or customer data

- A minimum of 5 years experience in promotion or revenue growth management within a FMCG Business
- Experience of working within an international capacity
- Proven analytical thinking capability enabling to analyse all sort of data and turn into meaningful insights
- Advanced in MS Office (Mastery in Excel)
- Experience of using Nielsen or other data provider’s software would be preferable
- Significant evidence of understanding the price elasticity between different brands and identifying the correlations & price corridors
- Strong financial acumen & P&L understanding
- Working in a matrix environment, developing strong business partnerships and influence
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt your style across different markets
- High levels of curiosity within the consumer and shopper categories
