The Caithness Pharmacy Team in NHS Highland are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to join our team of clinical pharmacists, developing and delivering the pharmacotherapy service in General Practice.

This role is suitable for those keen to move to primary care or those looking to continue their development as a primary care pharmacist.

  • Role Summary: You will work to deliver all levels of the pharmacotherapy service to GP surgeries in your locality as an independent clinical pharmacist, delivering patient care via telephone and / or face to face consultations.

  • Skills and Abilities: You will require good communication, organisational and IT skills alongside a commitment to learning and development.

  • Working Environment: This role will involve close working with patients and other healthcare professionals as part of the multidisciplinary team.

  • Development Opportunities: The successful candidate will be encouraged to complete the General Practice Clinical Pharmacist Framework as appropriate. Independent Prescriber training would be supported if not already achieved.

  • Support and Resources: You will be supported by the pharmacy team and by practice colleagues with a dedicated educational supervisor and protected learning time. We encourage peer support and shared learning.

  • Travel Requirements: This post will involve travelling to a number of locations so a full, current driving license and use of own car for work purposes is essential.
