We are seeking a passionate and motivated Registered Nurse to join our Primary Care Respiratory Hub Team. This nurse-led service offers the opportunity to develop specialist respiratory skills, work autonomously, and contribute to high-quality care within a supportive primary care environment.
The successful applicant will ideally:
- Have experience in spirometry and FeNO testing within Primary Care or General Practice.
However, applications are also welcomed from candidates who:
- Have relevant transferable skills
- Are willing to undertake the necessary training to provide Spirometry and FeNO testing training and develop within the role.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main Duties of the Job
As a Registered Nurse within the Respiratory Hub, you will:
- Be responsible for the day-to-day running of respiratory clinics across three sites within the Anglesey/Arfon and Dwyfor Cluster areas.
- Deliver high-quality respiratory diagnostic testing and patient-centred care
- Work collaboratively within a small team.
- Report to and be supported by the Lead Nurse for Primary Care.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operational running of respiratory clinics.
- Ensure clinics are fully booked and contain all relevant patient information required for testing.
- Maintain equipment calibration and cleaning before and after each clinic.
- Confirm patient identity and suitability for testing on arrival.
- Perform diagnostic testing in line with national and local standards.
- Upload and record results promptly onto EMIS Community following assessment.
- Maintain clinical competency and engage in ongoing training and development.
- Ensure all equipment maintenance and servicing is up to date and appropriately recorded.

Essential criteria
- Clear understanding of contract of care
- Ability to document details clearly and accurately
- Clear understanding of consent process
- Basic IT skills
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of incident reporting policy

Experience
Essential criteria
- Pre-registration evidence in direct nursing care
- Experience of providing holistic nursing care
- Interest in developing nursing skills
Desirable criteria
- Clear understanding of clinical governance framework
- Implement evidence based practice
Knowledge And Qualifications
Essential criteria
- NMC registered
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of post registration study and training, e.g. POVA, Child Protection
- Intermediate Life Support if required in clinical setting
Personal/Disposition
Essential Criteria
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to work under pressure.
