NHFT is contracted to provide health care services to HMP Littlehey. Currently we are looking to recruit an innovative band 6 Primary care sister/Charge nurse to our team. The candidate will deliver the highest standard of care required to meet the diverse and complex healthcare needs of an adult male population. They will be passionate about all aspects of Nursing, have exceptional clinical skills demonstrating exemplary standards of care and professionalism.
About the Role
HMP Littlehey is a Category C prison located in the picturesque village of Perry near to Grafham Water in Huntingdon in Cambridgeshire with free parking, staff restaurant and an onsite gymnasium. Healthcare services are delivered from two modern well equipped healthcare centers by a multi-disciplinary team who in the past, won the prestigious WHO European Best Practice in Prisons Award. Key Responsibilities
- Undertaking medication delivery and administration
- Seeing new receptions into the establishment
- Receptions and transfers
- Emergency response
- Reviewing clinical records and making detailed entries in clinical notes and records.
The Primary Care Sister/Charge Nurse will work autonomously on a daily basis, managing clinical and non-clinical work without direct clinical supervision. The post holder will deliver wide ranging care within NMC/local and national NHS and Prison Service policy and guidance.
Requirements
Please note this post is subject to security vetting. To be considered for this post you will need to have continuously resided in the UK without any breaks for a minimum of 3 years prior to this application and be able to evidence your years of residency. Please note without sufficient evidence your application may not progress.
