Job Title: Primary Department Production Operatives

Site: Low Street, Buckie

Reporting to: Production Manager / Supervisor

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 06.00 - 14:30 / full-time, steady work with daily overtime available

Pay: Starting pay rate is £13.78 per hour, increasing to £14.42 after a successful probationary period. Overtime is paid at 1.5 times the rate for hours over 40.

Job Overview:

As a Primary Production Operative, you will work across various stages of the primary line, processing fresh salmon for a wide range of customers. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team within a business that actively invests in staff training and career development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process fresh salmon accurately and efficiently at various stages along the primary production line.
  • Maintain high standards of product quality, hygiene, and line speed.
  • Adhere to health and safety practices in a lightly chilled working environment.
  • Support team targets through consistent effort and a hands-on approach.

Key Requirements & Experience

  • Previous experience in a food processing or manufacturing environment.
  • Prior Experience With Knife Skills (desirable, But Not Essential).

Skills & Attributes:

  • Experience in manual or hands-on roles.
  • Strong work ethic with a flexible, enthusiastic "can-do" attitude.
  • Comfortable undertaking routine manual handling and lifting tasks safely within a fast-paced production environment.
  • Comfortable working in a lightly chilled factory environment.
