About Battersea House
Battersea House is an online tutoring platform connecting families with experienced tutors who provide personalised one-to-one support. We are expanding our tutor network and looking for knowledgeable, reliable tutors to support Primary, GCSE and A-Level students following the UK curriculum.
Subjects
- We welcome applications from tutors across:
- Maths, English and Sciences
- Humanities and languages
- Computer Science
- Business and Economics
- Primary education
- SEN support
- IB subjects
- Exam preparation and study skills
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging one-to-one lessons online
- Plan lessons around each student’s needs and goals
- Support students with subject knowledge, confidence and exam technique
- Prepare suitable teaching resources
- Provide appropriate feedback on student progress
- Communicate professionally with students and families

What we are looking for
- Strong subject knowledge and familiarity with the UK curriculum
- Relevant teaching, tutoring or educational experience
- A degree, teaching qualification or strong professional expertise
- Clear written and spoken English
- A reliable internet connection and suitable online teaching setup
- Availability that overlaps with UK and European time zones
- An enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to complete the required checks
- The legal right to provide freelance services from your country of residence

Important information
This is a freelance opportunity to join the Battersea House tutor network. It is not a salaried position, and we cannot guarantee immediate student enquiries, fixed hours or a set level of income. Tutors are paid when matched with students and delivering lessons. They are responsible for their own tax, insurance and self-employed obligations.
