Primary Homeroom Teacher, KS1 / KS2
Location: Baghdad, Iraq.
Curriculum: British Curriculum.
Start Date: September 2026.
Contract: Up to 2 years.
MZ Talent Group is recruiting an experienced Primary Homeroom Teacher for an established British curriculum school in Baghdad, Iraq.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for a primary homeroom class within Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2, delivering high-quality teaching while supporting pupils’ academic progress, wellbeing and personal development.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons in line with the British curriculum.
- Teach core primary subjects and differentiate lessons to meet individual learning needs.
- Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment.
- Assess, track and report on pupil progress.
- Maintain accurate academic records, attendance and reports.
- Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues and school leadership.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum progression and consistency.
- Participate in school meetings, events and professional development.
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding and professional conduct.

Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a relevant subject.
- PGCE with Qualified Teacher Status, QTS, or BEd with QTS.
- Minimum 3 years’ teaching experience within a British school or British curriculum environment.
- Strong experience teaching within KS1 and/or KS2.
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, assessment and primary classroom practice.
- Ability to work effectively within an international and multicultural school environment.

Package
- Salary up to $3,000 per month, depending on experience.
- Private accommodation for applicants.

Previous international teaching experience is advantageous but is not essential.
