Primary KS1 Support Assistant - Full‑Time, Long‑Term - Immediate Start
A thriving, community-driven East London primary school with a strong reputation for inclusion and high-quality teaching is seeking a Primary KS1 Support Assistant to join their team. The school offers a warm, structured environment, excellent behaviour systems and a leadership team committed to staff development and pupil progress.
This is a full-time, long-term position starting ASAP, supporting pupils across KS1 and working closely with teachers to deliver engaging, well-structured learning.
Role Responsibilities
- Providing targeted support to KS1 pupils through small-group and 1:1 sessions
- Supporting children with mild to moderate SEN needs (ASD, ADHD, speech & language, SEMH)
- Assisting with lesson preparation, classroom organisation and behaviour routines
- Helping pupils develop early literacy, numeracy and independent learning skills
- Maintaining a calm, inclusive and engaging classroom environment
- Following safeguarding procedures and communicating effectively with staff and parents

Requirements
- KS1 classroom experience is essential
- Some SEN experience within a primary school setting
- A degree is highly desirable, particularly in education or a related field
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Strong communication skills, patience and a proactive, supportive approach
- Ability to commit to a long-term, full-time role starting immediately
- Professional, reliable and confident working within a busy primary environment
Pay
£100-£110 per day DOE
