Year 2 Primary Teacher - Southwark

Location: Southwark, South East London

Position: Year 2 Primary Teacher

Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term

Start Date: ASAP

Pay: £180-£220 per day

We are looking for an experienced Year 2 Teacher to join a friendly and supportive primary school in Southwark.

The school is looking for a confident and enthusiastic teacher who can take responsibility for a Year 2 class and provide engaging lessons while supporting pupils academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering engaging Year 2 lessons
  • Teaching across the KS1 curriculum
  • Assessing and monitoring pupil progress
  • Differentiating lessons to meet individual learning needs
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Working closely with Teaching Assistants and other members of staff
  • Supporting pupils as they prepare for their transition into KS2
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues

Requirements

  • QTS is essential
  • Previous primary school teaching experience is essential
  • Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum
  • Confident classroom and behaviour management
  • Ability to plan engaging and differentiated lessons
  • Reliable, organised, and committed to pupil progress
