Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist the classroom teacher by preparing learning resources and setting up activities.
- Run small group phonic, reading, and mathematics workshops using structured tools.
- Provide targeted support to children needing extra help to access their lessons.
- Supervise children during outdoor playtime, lunch breaks, and on educational school trips.
- Log student progress observations and report insights directly to the teaching team.
Requirements for the Role
- Practical experience working alongside children (school, nursery, coaching, or volunteering).
- Good standard of literacy and numeracy (GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above).
- A patient, proactive, and energetic approach to supporting children of all backgrounds.
- A valid Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or readiness for a new one).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
