- Support individuals and small groups of pupils to grasp core literacy and numeracy concepts.
- Assist in the delivery of tailored education plans for pupils with additional needs (SEND).
- Help maintain a highly organised, safe, and positive learning environment within the classroom.
- Support the lead teacher by preparing creative resources, activities, and educational displays.
- Provide active, attentive supervision during outdoor break times, assemblies, and school excursions.
Requirements for the Role
- Prior experience working in a child:centred environment (e.g. classrooms, nurseries, youth work).
- Minimum GCSE Grade C/4 or equivalent in both English Language and Mathematics.
- A warm, empathetic, and flexible approach to managing varied classroom tasks.
- A valid Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to complete one with us).
- Excellent communication skills to work seamlessly with pupils, teachers, and external visitors.
