Primary Teacher – South Manchester

Milk Education is currently recruiting for a passionate, dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in South Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified teacher looking for their next role within a supportive and engaging school environment. Whether you're an experienced Primary Teacher looking for a new challenge or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to develop your experience, we would love to hear from you. As a Primary Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering creative, engaging and inclusive lessons that inspire pupils and support their academic, social and emotional development. You will work closely with the wider school team to create a positive classroom environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons across the primary curriculum
  • Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
  • Differentiate lessons and activities to meet the needs of all pupils
  • Assess, monitor and track pupil progress and provide appropriate feedback
  • Set high expectations for learning, behaviour and achievement
  • Encourage pupils to develop confidence, independence and a positive attitude towards learning
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively using positive and consistent strategies
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants and support staff to ensure pupils receive appropriate support
  • Identify individual learning needs and adapt teaching approaches accordingly
  • Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and contribute to assessment and planning
  • Build strong and positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents/carers
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including assemblies, events and school activities
  • Follow school policies and procedures, particularly those relating to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
  • Promote an inclusive classroom where every child feels valued, supported and encouraged to succeed

We're Looking For Someone Who

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has experience teaching within a primary school setting
  • Has a strong understanding of the primary curriculum
  • Is passionate about helping children learn, develop and achieve their potential
  • Can plan and deliver creative, engaging and differentiated lessons
  • Has strong classroom management skills and a positive approach to behaviour management
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Can confidently assess and monitor pupil progress
  • Is organised, adaptable and able to respond to the individual needs of pupils
  • Builds positive and professional relationships with children, colleagues and parents/carers
  • Works effectively as part of a wider school team
  • Has a positive, enthusiastic and proactive approach to teaching
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • ECTs are welcome to apply
