Pay: £150-£230 per day, depending on experience

Contract: Day-to-day Supply | Long-term | Ongoing | Temp-to-Perm

Luma Education Recruitment is currently seeking a Primary Teacher to join a welcoming school in Thurmaston, Leicester from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher looking for a new role in Thurmaston or the wider Leicester and Leicestershire area. The school can offer a range of opportunities, from flexible day-to-day supply through to longer-term and ongoing positions, depending on your availability and experience.

The successful teacher will be confident in the classroom, able to deliver engaging lessons and create a positive learning environment where pupils can thrive.

The Role

As a Primary Teacher, You Will

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the primary curriculum
  • Teach pupils across Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2
  • Create a calm, positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Manage behaviour effectively and consistently
  • Differentiate learning to meet individual pupil needs
  • Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development
  • Work positively with teaching assistants and other school staff
  • Follow school policies, safeguarding procedures and individual support plans

About You

We Are Looking For a Teacher Who Has

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching within a UK primary school
  • Good knowledge of the primary curriculum
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • A flexible and adaptable approach
  • The ability to quickly establish positive relationships with pupils and staff

An Enhanced DBS is required prior to starting. An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service is preferred.
