A school in Ealing is looking for a Specialist SEN Learning Support Assistant to join its team from January.

- You might eventually want to progress into HLTA work, specialist SEND support, pastoral leadership, teaching, or SENCO responsibilities.

In this role, you'll develop experience supporting pupils with needs that may include:
- Autism (ASC)
- ADHD
- SEMH
- Speech & Language Needs

What You'll Be Doing
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Supporting pupils individually and in small groups.
- Helping children access lessons and learning activities.
- Delivering targeted interventions.
- Supporting pupils working towards EHCP outcomes.
- Adapting resources and activities around individual needs.
- Helping pupils develop communication and social skills.
- Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
- Encouraging confidence and greater independence.
- Observing pupil progress and sharing useful feedback.
- Working closely with teachers, the SENCO, and other professionals.
- Learning and applying different SEND strategies.
- Building your confidence in providing increasingly specialist support.

We're looking for someone who already has experience working with children or young people and wants to strengthen their SEND knowledge.
You'll need to be patient, adaptable, and willing to learn. You'll also need the confidence to ask questions, contribute observations, and gradually take greater ownership of the support you provide.

An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one, will be required.
