Full-Time | Long-Term Position | Autumn 2 Start | Small Village Primary School

Are you a qualified Primary Teacher looking for a full-time, long-term position near Berwick-upon-Tweed?

Ripple Education is currently recruiting a passionate and committed Primary Teacher for a small village primary school in the Berwick area.

The school is looking for someone who genuinely wants to become part of the school community and provide consistency for its children. This is a long-term opportunity, so we’re particularly interested in hearing from teachers looking for stability and the chance to really get to know their pupils, colleagues and school.

Ripple Education is a local education recruitment agency working with schools, nurseries and specialist settings across the North East. We believe in finding the right person, not just a person, for every setting. Children are at the heart of every decision we make.

The Opportunity

This is a full-time teaching position to start after October half term in a small village primary school.

You’ll become part of the school team, taking responsibility for your class and providing the consistency, high expectations and positive relationships that help children thrive.

Depending on the needs of the school, your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
  • Creating a positive, safe and welcoming classroom environment
  • Adapting teaching to meet the individual needs of pupils
  • Assessing learning and providing appropriate feedback
  • Building strong, positive relationships with pupils
  • Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and the wider school team
  • Following school policies, procedures and expectations
  • Following school and Ripple Education safeguarding procedures at all times

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
