Primary Teacher - SEN Opportunity - Totnes, Devon (SEN Training Available)

Luma Education Recruitment is working with a welcoming and specialist education setting in Totnes, Devon, that is looking for a passionate Primary Teacher to join their team.

The Role

As a Primary Teacher, You Will

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual pupil needs
  • Adapt the curriculum to make learning accessible and meaningful
  • Develop creative and practical learning opportunities
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils
  • Monitor progress and celebrate individual achievements
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants and the wider school team
  • Contribute to personalised learning and development plans
  • Encourage pupils to develop confidence, independence, and life skills
  • Make use of the school's outdoor environment and wider learning opportunities
  • Support pupils to participate in enrichment and extra-curricular activities
  • Create a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment

Who We're Looking For

This opportunity would suit a qualified Primary Teacher who is considering moving into SEN or specialist education.

You do not need previous SEN experience. The most important qualities are your passion for teaching, willingness to learn, and ability to build positive relationships with pupils.

  • A qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent
  • Experienced within primary education

  • Creative and enthusiastic in their approach to teaching
