- Deliver guided reading, phonics, and basic numeracy intervention workshops to small groups.
- Assist the class teacher in setting up learning activities and creating interactive displays.
- Provide targeted support to pupils who require extra help accessing the daily curriculum.
- Supervise pupils during structured lesson breaks, assemblies, and outdoor play.
- Monitor student participation and share feedback directly with the class teacher.
Requirements for the Role
- Previous experience working with children (e.g. in primary schools, nurseries, youth clubs, or sports coaching).
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above).
- A proactive, encouraging demeanor paired with strong communication capabilities.
- An Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or readiness to process one with us).
- High adaptability when supporting varied primary key stages.
