Primary Teaching Assistant – Level 3

Primary School – Walsall

The Education Network is looking for a qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a large primary school in Walsall.

This is a varied role that could see you working as a class-based Teaching Assistant or providing more tailored support to pupils within the school's dedicated SEND Hub. The successful candidate will have previous experience working in a primary school and be confident adapting their approach to meet different learning needs.

You will work closely with teachers and SEND staff to support pupils academically, socially and emotionally, helping them to engage positively with learning and make progress.

Job Role

  • Provide classroom support across the primary age range
  • Work alongside the class teacher to support learning and engagement
  • Provide 1-2-1 and small-group support where required
  • Support pupils within the dedicated SEND Hub
  • Deliver targeted interventions and personalised support
  • Adapt your approach to meet individual learning and SEND needs
  • Build positive relationships with pupils
  • Support positive behaviour and classroom routines
  • Work closely with teachers and SEND professionals
  • Help create a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment

Essential Requirements:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Previous experience working within a primary school
  • Strong understanding of the role of a Teaching Assistant
  • Ability to provide both classroom and tailored SEND support
  • A patient, adaptable and positive approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
