- Support classroom teachers with resource preparation, task setup, and display management.
- Lead small group workshops in phonics, guided reading, and foundational numeracy.
- Assist pupils with special educational needs or English as an Additional Language (EAL).
- Supervise children during break times, assembly transitions, and school trips.
- Maintain positive reinforcement to cultivate an encouraging classroom climate.
Requirements for the Role
- Practical experience working alongside children (schools, nurseries, sports coaching, or volunteering).
- Good standard of literacy and numeracy (GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above).
- A patient, energetic, and proactive approach to supporting classroom activities.
- An Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or readiness to process one).
- Strong communication and interpersonal capabilities.
