Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist classroom teachers with setting up resources, activities, and seasonal displays.
- Lead tailored phonics, reading, and early maths intervention groups to raise pupil attainment.
- Provide targeted 1:1 assistance to pupils who need additional support during core subjects.
- Supervise children during morning arrival, lunchtime breaks, and educational visits.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive environment by modeling respectful, active learning behaviors.
Requirements for the Role
- Experience working alongside young children in educational, care, or voluntary settings.
- A good standard of English and Mathematics (GCSE Grade C/4 or above).
- A warm, flexible, and proactive approach to supporting classroom dynamics.
- An Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or readiness for one).
- Strong interpersonal skills to build quick, trusted rapport with pupils and staff.
