Principal AI Architect - AI Transformation
Microsoft Partner | Mostly Remote (UK) | Birmingham 1-2 days per month

A leading Microsoft Partner is looking for a Principal AI Architect to drive AI transformation programmes for enterprise customers across the UK. This is a strategic leadership role focused on helping organisations define their AI vision, establish governance and operating models, and deliver innovative AI-powered solutions using the Microsoft ecosystem.
You'll work closely with executive stakeholders to shape AI strategy, design enterprise-scale architectures, and lead the delivery of agentic AI solutions leveraging Copilot Studio, AI Foundry, Azure AI, Power Platform, and Data & AI technologies.
The Role
As a Principal AI Architect, you'll act as a trusted advisor to customers, helping them identify high-value AI opportunities and build practical transformation roadmaps. You'll provide architectural leadership across AI strategy, governance, security, integration, and delivery, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned to business outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:
- Leading AI strategy, discovery workshops, and executive-level advisory engagements.
- Defining AI target architectures, governance frameworks, and operating models.
- Architecting and governing agentic AI and Copilot solutions using Microsoft technologies.
- Establishing security, privacy, data, and integration patterns for enterprise AI adoption.
- Embedding AI engineering best practices, including DevOps, ALM, testing, and deployment governance.
- Supporting pre-sales activities, solution shaping, and AI proposition development.
- Creating reusable frameworks, accelerators, and reference architectures.
- Mentoring architects and consultants while helping grow AI capability across the business.
About You
You'll bring a blend of strategic consulting expertise and hands-on architecture experience, with a strong track record of delivering AI-enabled solutions within the Microsoft ecosystem.
We're interested in people who have:
- Experience leading enterprise AI transformation initiatives.
- Strong architecture expertise across integration, security, governance, and data platforms.
- Experience designing and delivering solutions using Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Azure AI, AI Foundry, or similar Microsoft technologies.
- The ability to engage confidently with C-suite stakeholders and translate business challenges into AI strategies.
- A passion for helping organisations adopt AI responsibly and at scale.
