Description
GlobalLogic is seeking a Principal AI Engineer to lead the technical vision, architecture, and hands-on execution of our next-generation AI-first products, working directly with our enterprise clients to translate frontier AI capability into product features they can actually run in production. You’ll bridge cutting-edge AI research and production-grade software engineering across four core domains: autonomous agentic systems, LLM orchestration/RAG/fine-tuning, real-time ML infrastructure, and intelligent data platforms.
Requirements
Who You Are
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years specifically building and scaling AI or ML applications in production.
What You’ll Bring
- AI Development Life Cycle (AI DLC) experience: Proven track record with the AI DLC.
- Modern AI stack depth: Python/TypeScript, PyTorch, an orchestration framework (LangGraph, LangChain/LlamaIndex, CrewAI, or AutoGen), and vector databases (Pinecone, Qdrant, Weaviate, or Milvus).
- Model-serving infrastructure: For example Triton/vLLM as well as LLM gateway products such as LiteLLM or Bifrost.
- A production track record: Designing complex RAG pipelines, fine-tuning foundation models (LoRA/QLoRA), and deploying multi-agent autonomous systems that have run in production not just proofs of concept.
- Cloud & MLOps fluency: AWS/GCP/Azure, containerization, serverless architectures, and MLOps/LLMOps tooling (Weights & Biases, LangSmith, MLflow).
- A product-first mindset: Fluency with evaluation frameworks (Ragas, DeepEval) and a track record of managing latency, cost, and hallucination tradeoffs in a live product, not a lab setting.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Job responsibilities
What You’ll Do
- Own end-to-end delivery: Architect and ship AI products, agentic frameworks, and multi-modal application backends into production.
- Set the evaluation bar: Establish continuous evaluation pipelines, guardrails, observability, and cost-optimization strategy for production LLM deployments.
- Decide the stack: Own build-vs-buy calls e.g. self-hosted vLLM vs. a managed endpoint and the RAG-vs-fine-tune tradeoffs that other squads calibrate against.
- Lead technical culture: Set technical direction across AI engineering guilds: rigorous engineering practice, prototyping velocity, and open-source contribution.
What You’re Solving
- Autonomous agentic systems & workflows
- LLM orchestration, RAG & fine-tuning pipelines
- Real-time machine learning & AI infrastructure
- Intelligent data platforms & context engines
