My client, one of the UK's leading independent Air Quality Consultancies, is looking for a driven Principal Air Quality Consultant to join its Manchester team.

Whether you are an ambitious Principal Air Quality Consultant looking for a fresh challenge, or an experienced Senior Consultant ready to step up, this is a chance to take real ownership, work on technically interesting projects and help shape the future direction of a growing consultancy.

This is more than another consultancy position. As Principal Air Quality Consultant, you will combine technical expertise with project leadership, client engagement and commercial involvement, while playing an important role in developing the next generation of consultants.

Your Role As Principal Air Quality Consultant

  • Lead and deliver air quality, greenhouse gas, climate change, odour, and dust assessments
  • Manage, support and mentor junior members of the team
  • Undertake ADMS dispersion modelling for road traffic and odour emissions
  • Take ownership of projects from initial assessment through to completion
  • Provide high-level technical input and quality assurance
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
  • Identify and help secure new consultancy opportunities
  • Support business development, project resourcing and wider team growth

What You Will Bring

  • At least five years experience within UK air quality consultancy; candidates with less experience may still be considered
  • Proven experience delivering air quality, greenhouse gas, odour and dust assessments
  • Strong practical experience using ADMS for vehicle exhaust emissions dispersion modelling
  • Experience managing projects from initial assessment through to completion
  • Excellent analytical, technical, and report-writing skills
  • A confident, engaging approach to client communication and relationship development
  • Membership of IAQM, ISEP or a similar professional body, or actively working towards membership
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable Experience

  • Experience across land development and infrastructure projects would be advantageous, as would a genuine appetite for technical leadership, mentoring and developing your commercial awareness.
