Principal Air Quality Consultant / Senior Air Quality Consultant

Job Overview

My client, one of the UK's leading independent Air Quality Consultancies, is seeking an ambitious Principal Air Quality Consultant ready for the next exciting step in their career, or an experienced Senior Air Quality Consultant who is looking to take on new responsibilities and a promotion.

This is a role with genuine responsibility. You will lead complex air quality and climate-related work, build trusted client relationships, and contribute to the continued development of the business.

Duties of a Principal Air Quality Consultant

  • Managing and Mentoring Junior Consultants
  • Leading Air Quality, Greenhouse Gas, Climate Change, Odour, and Dust Assessments
  • Undertaking ADMS Dispersion Modelling for Road Traffic and Odour Emissions
  • Providing Technical Input and Quality Assurance
  • Building and Maintaining Strong Client Relationships
  • Winning and Obtaining Consultancy Projects
  • Supporting Business Development, Obtaining Consultancy Projects, and Resource Planning

Essential Skills and Experience

  • At least five years' experience in UK air quality consultancy, less may still be considered
  • Experience delivering air quality, greenhouse gas, odours, and dust assessments
  • Strong experience using ADMS for dispersion modelling of vehicle exhaust emissions
  • Taking ownership of projects from the initial assessment to the point of completion
  • Strong analytical, technical, and report-writing skills
  • Enjoys communicating and developing client relationships
  • Is a member of IAQM, ISEP, or a similar professional body (or working towards membership)
  • Full UK Driving Licence

  • Experience across land development and infrastructure projects, alongside a genuine interest in technical leadership, mentoring, and developing commercial awareness would be advantageous.
