About us
Amach is an industry-leading technology driven company with headquarters located in Dublin and remote teams in UK and Europe. Our blended teams of local and nearshore talent are optimised to deliver high quality and collaborative solutions.
Founded in 2013, Amach was created to solve a specific problem in aviation: too much complexity, too little usable intelligence. We help airlines modernise their operating model using cloud, data and AI—delivered by teams with deep aviation domain expertise.
Our goal is to maximize airlines' operational efficiency by optimizing resource use, reduce costs and increase customer experience and satisfaction.
Role
We are seeking a Principal Architect to be embedded with our customer, working at a strategic and hands-on level to define technology strategy, roadmaps, architectural principles and guardrails across multiple domains. You will provide cross-domain direction and governance while translating high-level business direction into applicable standards and practical guidance for the customer's delivery teams. This role requires someone who can balance enterprise-wide architectural thinking with direct programme delivery capability and technical credibility.
Required Experience
- 8+ years of enterprise or multi-domain architecture experience, with proven ability to operate at both strategic and hands-on technical levels
- Demonstrated track record defining technology strategies, architectural roadmaps and governance frameworks in complex, multi-platform environments
- Strong experience translating business requirements into architectural principles and standards that guide delivery teams
- Ability to work across multiple technical domains (e.g. cloud, data, integration, AI, infrastructure) without being limited to a single specialisation
- Experience working in customer-facing or embedded roles, comfortable building relationships with stakeholders and technical teams across an organisation

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
