Digital Solutions Group
Hoare Lea’s Digital Solutions Group works on unique and technically challenging projects across the UK and internationally. From concept through to commissioning, we deliver creative, high-quality and user-centred technology solutions that combine technical accuracy with innovative design.
Our team includes specialist engineers in ICT, Communications, Audiovisual, Cyber Security, BMS and Building Automation. We work collaboratively across disciplines to design connected buildings, improve user interfaces, and support effective system integration, technology procurement and optimisation through analytics.
Our Wider Team Includes
ICT: Designing digital infrastructure, including passive infrastructure, active networks, Wi-Fi and wide-area network connectivity.
Audiovisual: Creating immersive client experiences, from purpose-built meeting rooms and LED walls to reception installations.

About The Role
- Management and oversight of Audiovisual projects from engagement through final completion
- Responsible for conceptualising and designing a wide range of Audiovisual systems of all sizes and complexity for a wide variety of clients and buildout types including new base build and retrofit
- Prepare documents to RIBA stage including AV system drawings, schematics, bills of materials, reports, specifications, and interim client presentations
- Take responsibility for achieving Audiovisual design objectives, assuring they are in line with client needs and overall project goals
- Ensure quality standards and technical accuracy is delivered
- Effectively delegate, manage and check work undertaken by others
- Coordinate effectively with other consultants and project team members to assure project success
- Competently represent Hoare Lea at project meetings
- Awareness of consultant appointment conditions
- Take ownership and contribute towards delivering profitable schemes
- Manage and prioritise the workload of a project team including specialist groups
- Awareness of construction procurement and associated risks to the business and/or project
- Effectively reports and openly communicates at all levels internally and externally.
- Reporting cost and resource requirements to the team leader on a regular basis.
- Actively promote services offered by HL to assist Client's projects
- Actively contributes to sharing technical knowledge across the firm
About You
- Existing experience with Audiovisual projects in consultation or integration environment, strong technical background
- Experience with Revit, CAD are required. Demonstrated expertise of advanced Revit capabilities including 3D modelling and rendering is highly desirable
- Avixa CTS accreditation or manufacturer training (e.g. QSC, Crestron) is desirable but not required
- Demonstrated Audiovisual project delivery experience for clients in Workplace, Higher Education, Research, Auditoria, Experience Centres, Museums, High-end Residential, Hospitality, etc.
- Detailed knowledge of Audiovisual technologies including AV over IP, Videoconferencing, Web Streaming and Broadcast, Video Walls, Spatial/Immersive Audio, PAVA Systems, etc.
- Strong working knowledge in Audiovisual engineering discipline and ability to work to relevant and applicable regulations, design guides etc.
- In-depth experience in AV technology and keen knowledge of industry developments, trends, and innovations is required
- Experience working with and keen interest in developing agentic AI-driven workflows
- Experience working with the architecture and construction industries, RIBA stage project delivery
- Excellent organisational and planning skills to effectively work to timescales and deadlines
- Commitment to effectively deliver to demanding timescales
- Good understanding of other disciplines and ability to collaborate closely across in-house teams including ICT, Smart Buildings, Security, Lighting, Acoustics, and MEP
