Position Overview
As a Principal – Business Engineering & Transformation (Business Transformation & Automation), you will help make Blink simpler, more efficient, and easier to scale by transforming the way we work across functions and regions.
Reporting to the SVP, Global Business Engineering, this is a senior individual contributor role with global scope. Rather than managing people, you will influence through expertise, structured problem solving, and delivery. You will work closely with senior leaders, operational teams, Technology, Product, and the C-suite to solve complex, cross-functional business challenges and turn ideas into measurable business outcomes.
You will improve core business processes by combining process design, systems thinking, data quality, AI, automation, and change delivery. Success in this role is measured by whether improvements are adopted, reduce manual work, improve customer and employee experiences, and create measurable business value.
Here's What You'll Do
- Analyze and redesign end-to-end business processes, identifying opportunities to eliminate inefficiencies, reduce manual effort, remove duplication, and create scalable ways of working.
- Solve complex business problems using structured analysis, financial modelling, commercial judgement, and systems thinking to support strategic decision-making.
- Capture and document business processes, ownership models, standards, and operating procedures using AI and other modern productivity tools, ensuring critical knowledge is retained within the business.
- Identify opportunities to improve business performance through automation, workflow optimization, and system enhancements, working closely with Technology, Product, and operational teams to translate business requirements into practical solutions.
- Assess and prioritize transformation opportunities using a structured intake approach based on business impact, customer benefit, cost reduction, risk reduction, implementation effort, and likelihood of adoption.
- Lead approved transformation initiatives from idea through delivery, establishing clear ownership, governance, timelines, handover plans, and measurable success criteria.
- Collaborate across departments and regions to remove obstacles, maintain momentum, and ensure improvements are successfully adopted and embedded into day-to-day operations.
- Establish clear business ownership and system accountability for improved processes, defining success measures and review rhythms to ensure changes remain effective over time.
- Monitor adoption, process performance, and data quality following implementation, taking action where ownership, adoption, or data integrity begins to drift.
- Champion practical applications of AI to improve productivity, decision-making, knowledge management, and operational efficiency, helping teams move beyond experimentation to measurable business outcomes.
- Improve data quality by establishing trusted sources of truth, reducing duplication, strengthening data ownership, and enabling reliable reporting across the business.
- Build strong relationships across a global, matrixed organization, influencing stakeholders at all levels—including senior leadership and the C-suite—to achieve business outcomes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
