This role will lead the creation, governance, and continuous improvement of multi-platform design standards, ensuring consistency and quality across a wide range of engineering disciplines and software environments.
In addition to setting strategy, the role will be hands-on in managing and coordinating BIM/CAD modelling work tasks between UK teams and our offshore design centre in Pune, with the flexibility to undertake model authoring when required. The successful candidate will also provide leadership to a team of 3D BIM modellers, ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and efficiency of 3D modelling workflows using Autodesk Revit, Civil 3D, Inventor, and other relevant platforms.
This position plays a pivotal role in supporting complex projects across Waterpower & Dams, Transmission & Distribution, Renewable Energy, Nuclear, Waste & Generation, and Minerals & Resources, ensuring the delivery of high-quality BIM outputs aligned with project requirements, client expectations, and industry standards.

- You will be an advocate and positive role model for digital delivery, collaborating with multi-disciplinary engineers in local and remote offices.
- You will provide support through the bid, planning & mobilisation, delivery and close stages from a BIM viewpoint.
- You will develop the BIM Execution Plan and subsequent Master Information Delivery Plans and Task Information Delivery Plans, ensuring everything aligns with the Exchange Information Requirements.
- You will work in collaboration with the Information management team to establish Common Data Environments, standards and procedures to support digital delivery in accordance with ISO 19650.
- You will oversee planning and managing document / information management systems with review and approval workflows while supporting the design and modelling team through the delivery phase, providing support and guidance and checks / reviews of progress, quality and compliance.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
