PRINCIPAL BUILDING CONTROL CONSULTANT / BUILDING SAFETY LEAD, BUILDING CONTROL

£90,000 - £120,000 DOE + BONUS + CAR ALLOWANCE + EXCELLENT BENEFITS

Hybrid Working | Full-Time or Part-Time (Minimum 3 Days Per Week)

ATK Solutions is proud to be working with a leading residential developer seeking an experienced Building Control professional to lead building assessment and remediation programmes across a substantial residential portfolio.

This is a unique opportunity for a senior technical specialist with extensive knowledge of building construction, Building Regulations, fire safety and remediation to take ownership of complex building safety assessments and remediation projects. Training provided in validation of FRAEW / PAS9980 surveys.

THE ROLE

  • Managing and reviewing FRAEWs completed to PAS9980.
  • Managing intrusive investigations and assessment programmes.
  • Determining remediation scopes and technical solutions.
  • Liaising with building owners, managing agents and external stakeholders.
  • Supporting engagement with government bodies and regulatory authorities.
  • Providing technical guidance on building safety and remediation projects.
  • Supporting legal and recovery teams on technical building safety matters.
  • Keeping abreast of evolving Building Safety Act and fire safety legislation.

  • Registered Building Inspector background
  • Building Safety Consultant background
  • Technical Building Surveyor background
  • Building Regulations Consultant background with strong experience in residential construction and building safety.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

  • Detailed understanding of building construction methods, both new-build and existing buildings.
  • Understanding of fire spread, compartmentation, passive fire protection and cavity barriers.
  • Experience reviewing building defects and remediation solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and technical consultants.
  • Strong technical report review and validation skills.
