You’ll need to bring

• A BEng, MEng or equivalent in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with a relevant professional institution.
• Significant experience delivering river engineering, river restoration, flood risk or nature-based solutions projects within consultancy, the water sector or a related environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of fluvial processes, river restoration techniques and hydraulic design principles.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary projects, managing budgets, programmes and project risks.
• Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted partnerships and identify new opportunities.
• Experience preparing and reviewing technical reports, specifications, drawings and tender documentation.
• Commercial awareness, including experience contributing to proposals, tenders and business development activities.
• Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
• A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites when required.

It’s a bonus if you have

• Experience working with water companies, regulators or public sector clients.
• Knowledge of CDM regulations and experience acting as Designer or Principal Designer.
• Experience using HEC-RAS, Flood Modeller, AutoCAD or Civil 3D.
• Experience delivering fish passage, natural flood management or catchment restoration schemes.
• Experience mentoring or line managing technical staff.
• Knowledge of environmental consenting and regulatory processes associated with river engineering projects.
