The Vacancy
RSK Land Development and Engineering (LDE) Ltd, part of the RSK Group are looking for a Principal Infrastructure Engineer/ Civil Engineer to join the team in Wigan, UK. This is a full-time, permanent position.
RSK LDE Ltd was formed in 2003 after a number of specialist design engineers joined RSK in order to strengthen its existing in-house capabilities. It now has a highly experienced team made up of professional civil and structural engineering staff with many years experience in the assessment, design and construction of major development projects.
Responsibilities:
- Manage, lead, and deliver designs for multiple projects on time and to budget.
- Agree engineering strategies and ensure these are adhered to.
- Negotiate technical approval for adoptable works (S104, S38, S278 etc.).
- Ensure designs comply with current Codes of Practice.
- Maintain effective communication with design team and other stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience:
Working knowledge of:
- Highway design and ground modelling.
- Drainage design and hydraulic modelling, including sustainable drainage systems.
- External works levels design, including Part M.
- Industry Codes of Practice and Health and Safety legislation.

- Autocad
- PDS/XP Site 3D (or similar)
- Microdrainage Windes/Flow (or similar)
- Microsoft packages
Ideally:
- 5-10 years experience in a similar sector within Consultancy.
- Educated to degree or HNC level.
