The Role
As Principal Civil/Structural Engineer, you will lead the design and delivery of civil and structural refurbishment projects for subway systems within a critical infrastructure setting. Your responsibilities include:
- Assessing existing structures
- Developing remediation strategies
- Managing design teams
- Ensuring compliance with technical standards and safety regulations
You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, coordinate with external design houses, and support the lifecycle of design development to deliver high-quality solutions.
You will have the following qualifications & experience:
- A proven degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, with Chartered status or extensive relevant experience.
- Expert knowledge of civil and structural design in regulated environments, preferably in Nuclear or Defence sectors.
- Strong familiarity with safety standards, legislation, and regulatory compliance including CDM regulations.
- Extensive experience in managing complex design projects through their lifecycle, with capability to provide technical guidance and oversight.
- Demonstrable experience working within BIM environments and digital design tools.
- Familiarity with project planning, management, budgeting, and governance procedures.
