Experienced Practitioner Psychologist - Mindworks North Community Hub
The Children and Young People’s (CYPS) Directorate in Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Practitioner Psychologist to lead psychology in Mindworks North Community Hub. You will be joining a well-established and supportive multi-disciplinary children’s mental health team based in Chertsey. The role is part-time (30 hours).
Role Overview
Working closely with the service manager, you will lead on psychology services in the team. You will work alongside the CYPS psychology leads to develop accessible and inclusive psychology services for children and young people across Surrey.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead psychology services in the team.
- Develop accessible and inclusive psychology services.
- Provide specialist psychological assessments, formulation, therapeutic interventions, and consultation.
- Supervise and contribute to Individual Performance Review/Appraisal of psychology staff.
- Communicate healthcare needs to service commissioners and other healthcare providers.
- Develop and implement appropriate policies, protocols, and care pathways.
- Contribute to staff recruitment and wider strategic plans regarding psychology recruitment.
- Act as supervisor/teacher in teaching, facilitating, and supporting pre-registration students and junior personnel.
- Influence and develop team cultures that support innovation, creativity, partnership working, and curiosity.

Requirements
- Substantial experience working in children’s mental health services with children with complex needs and managing high levels of risk.
- Experience of adapting interventions to work with neurodiversity.
- Knowledge and skills in supervision and outcome measures.
- Hold a Doctorate in Clinical or Counselling Psychology.
- Registration with the HCPC.
