Principal Coastal/Marine Engineer

About the Opportunity
We are continuously seeking experienced professionals to join our talent pool for current and future opportunities supporting marine infrastructure, coastal engineering, port development, offshore facilities, and related projects. Successful candidates will bring expertise in marine surveys, Geotechnical investigations, engineering studies, and simulation activities that support the planning, design, optimization, and lifecycle management of marine assets.
Key Responsibilities
Survey and Data Acquisition Management
- Support the planning, coordination, execution, and interpretation of marine, coastal, and land-based survey and site investigation programs.
- Manage and review a variety of survey activities, including metocean studies, bathymetric surveys, topographic surveys, geotechnical investigations, geophysical surveys, and environmental assessments.
- Evaluate existing datasets, survey records, and technical reports to support project planning and engineering decision-making.
- Develop scopes of work, technical specifications, and survey requirements aligned with project objectives and industry standards.
- Support the procurement, engagement, and management of external consultants, survey contractors, and specialist service providers.
- Monitor survey and investigation activities to ensure compliance with project requirements, quality standards, and health, safety, and environmental expectations.
- Review and validate survey deliverables, technical reports, and data outputs for accuracy, completeness, and suitability.
- Interpret survey findings and translate technical data into actionable recommendations and engineering design parameters.
- Maintain awareness of emerging technologies, methodologies, and best practices related to surveying, data acquisition, and site characterization.

Engineering Studies and Simulations
- Contribute to the planning, execution, and review of engineering studies, technical assessments, and simulation analyses related to marine, coastal, and port infrastructure projects.
- Support the evaluation, optimization, and development of marine facilities, infrastructure systems, and operational concepts.
- Assess alternative design solutions and provide technical recommendations based on engineering principles, project requirements, risk considerations, and operational performance.
- Analyze technical data and simulation outputs to support feasibility studies, concept development, design validation, and operational improvements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative and cost-effective engineering solutions across the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, presentations, reports, and recommendations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify risks, constraints, and opportunities associated with infrastructure development and support the implementation of mitigating actions.
- Ensure engineering studies and assessments are conducted in accordance with applicable industry standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational procedures.

What We’re Looking For:
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Coastal Engineering, Marine Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experienced in Conceptual, FEED and detailed engineering of jetty / coastal structure.
- In-depth knowledge of latest revisions of applicable design codes is a must.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively when managing multiple tasks.
- Ability to work both independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Ability to work in an office-based role.
