Overview
We are seeking a senior industry expert to grow our Grid Solutions capability serving Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) and Distribution System Operators (DSO) across Europe. This role will be responsible for providing strategic and technical leadership to clients while working closely with the VP of Delivery & RTS Delivery Lead to build a scalable, sustainable delivery capability across onshore UK, nearshore, and offshore teams.
The successful candidate will be a recognised SME within the UK electricity distribution sector, possessing deep expertise in network operations, grid modernisation, such as ADMS, SCADA, and GIS solutions. They will act as a trusted advisor to utility executives, operational stakeholders, and technical teams, helping customers define and execute their digital grid transformation strategies.
Responsibilities
Operational & Technical Advisory
- Act as a trusted advisor to DNO control room, IT, and OT teams.
- Provide industry expertise on network operations, outage management, switching, fault response, and network visibility.
- Support customers in defining operational processes, system enhancements, and future-state operating models.
- Advise on the adoption and optimisation of ADMS, SCADA, and GIS capabilities.
Technical Leadership
- Provide deep technical expertise across Grid Solutions technologies.
- Lead solution design, architecture discussions, integration planning, and implementation approaches.
- Support delivery teams in resolving complex technical and operational challenges.
- Ensure successful alignment between business processes and technology solutions.

Team Growth
- Support business development, solution shaping, and proposal development activities.
- Help define service offerings across advisory, implementation, integration, testing, and managed services.
- Build strong relationships with vendors, utility customers, and industry partners.
- Contribute to the growth of the UK utility practice through thought leadership and market engagement.
Essential Experience
- Significant experience working within UK electricity distribution and DNO environments.
- Strong understanding of control room operations, network management, and utility IT/OT architectures.
- Deep expertise in one or more GE solutions including ADMS, SCADA, and GIS.
- Experience delivering complex utility transformation and system integration programmes.
- Proven ability to engage with both operational users and technical teams.
- Demonstrated success building and growing technical teams and delivery capabilities.
- Experience working with blended onshore, nearshore, and offshore delivery models.
Success Profile
The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable:
- Working with control room operators to improve operational processes.
- Advising IT and OT teams on solution architecture, integration, and technology roadmaps.
- Leading technical delivery and problem-solving activities.
- Working with the VP Delivery to define capability strategy and workforce plans.
- Mentoring, and developing the next generation of Grid Solutions specialists.
Qualifications
- 10 years minimum.
- Must have Oracle Primavera P6 and Unifier experience in relation to designing, configuring, and administering the system.
- Ability to communicate at the highest level of the organisation, outgoing, team player with the ability to delegate and prioritise work across a team.
- Ability to manage business change activities in line with end-to-end project, programme, or portfolio delivery to enable the adoption of new systems and enhancements.
- Must have a deep understanding of controls methodologies, consulting, and business analysis skills.
- Working knowledge of Oracle Primavera (Unifier, P6, and Gateway), Aconex, Contruent (ARES) PRISM, Deltek Cobra, and EcoSys software desired.
- Experience of working with Oracle, other major software vendors, and cloud/managed service providers.
- Strong business acumen, high energy, and self-motivated.
- Excellent organisation skills and proven ability to multi-task.
- Strong presentation, written, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrates personal accountability.
- Promotes a learning and growth culture in their area of accountability.

- Experience within capital infrastructure projects.
Supervision:
Working with defined authority and responsibility for a significant area of work, including technical, financial, and quality aspects. Establishes organisational objectives and delegates responsibilities. Is accountable for actions and decisions taken by self and subordinates.

Compensation:
In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
Other Compensation:
Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program, which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
