About the Role
We're seeking a Cyber Security Consultant to join our industry-leading Cyber Security Capability team. Our global digital strategy has identified ‘Operational Technology (OT) Cybersecurity’ as a priority area, reflecting our commitment to delivering specialised cyber security services across industries.
You will provide technical consultancy to OT/IT digital transformation and development projects, from advice to executives through implementation. Your expertise will enable clients to operationalise cyber resilience and security solutions while working alongside multidisciplinary teams in a collaborative, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide cyber security and strategy advice, technical assurance, governance support, and specification development for clients across the UK and internationally
- Tailor risk-based assessments (aligning with frameworks like NIS-D, NIST, ISO 27001, and ISA/IEC 62443) to specific client contexts
- Collaborate globally with clients, government agencies, partners, and supply chains on sophisticated cyber security challenges
- Translate strategy into practical delivery, analysing system requirements and translating them into clear, actionable outputs
- Support proposal writing, bid responses, and client presentations to highlight digital resilience solutions

About You
We are looking for a highly skilled OT, IT, or cyber security specialist with at least some of the following qualifications or practical experience:
Essential Criteria
- Relevant degree/course in engineering, computer science or technical discipline, or equivalent industry experience
- Institute of Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Chartered Security Professional (CPSP) registration (initiation of this process is a plus)
- Strong technical knowledge of OT/IT/IoT/IIoT cyber security (including SCADA, telecoms, mission-critical, and safety-critical architectures)
- Industry-specific experience in digital resilience for sectors such as energy (nuclear, oil/gas, electricity, rail/road), healthcare, smart infrastructure, aviation, or maritime
- Experience with Agile, ITIL, or V-model frameworks for systematic system security design
Beneficial Skills & Experience
- Ability to apply OT risk methodologies during systems/software development
- Expertise in secure DevOps, governance frameworks, cloud security (especially OT in the cloud), and threat modelling
- hur forensics, incident management, and SOC operations with knowledge of IDS/IPS platforms
- Knowledge of national security standards such as NCSC’s Cyber Assurance Framework (CAF) and ISA/IEC 62443
- Experience with secure systems engineering lifecycles, vulnerability analysis, and cyber security tooling
