The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Principal Consultant - Programmes to join our growing consulting team.
This is a senior role for an accomplished programme professional who thrives in complex environments and enjoys helping organisations deliver large-scale transformation successfully. You'll lead major client engagements, often involving multiple workstreams, suppliers, and senior stakeholders, while providing strategic advice and hands-on delivery leadership.
You'll be trusted to shape programmes from mobilisation through to successful delivery, building strong client relationships and creating the confidence that turns projects into long-term partnerships.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Principal Consultant, you will:
- Lead the mobilisation, planning, and delivery of complex transformation programmes
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, including Programme Directors, SROs, and executive leadership teams
- Conduct discovery and diagnostic activities, developing recommendations, roadmaps, and delivery plans
- Take ownership of programme outcomes, including scope, schedule, quality, risks, and dependencies
- Establish and lead effective governance structures, reporting forums, and Programme Boards
- Coordinate delivery across multiple workstreams, suppliers, and partner organisations
- Lead and mentor consulting teams, ensuring high-quality delivery and professional development
- Support business growth by identifying opportunities within existing accounts and contributing to follow-on engagements
- Work closely with Civiteq leadership to develop consulting approaches, delivery frameworks, and thought leadership

Requirements
We're looking for an experienced programme leader with a track record of delivering complex transformation programmes and building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.
Essential Experience
- Leading large-scale digital transformation or ERP programmes
- Managing multi-workstream delivery and programme governance
- Working with senior stakeholders and executive teams
- Leading consulting or delivery teams in complex environments
- Managing programme risks, budgets, resources, and delivery outcomes
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
Desirable Experience
- UK public sector or local government transformation programmes
- Enterprise technology, cloud, or ERP implementations
- Multi-supplier delivery environments
- PMO, assurance, or programme controls experience
- Contributing to bids, Statements of Work, and resourcing plans
- Identifying growth opportunities within client accounts

- Salary: £70,000 to £90,000 per year. We are committed to offering salaries that are fair, competitive, and aligned to experience and capability
