Principal Consultant – SAP S/4HANA EWM / MFS
Job Title: Principal Consultant – SAP S/4HANA EWM / MFS

About the Role
We are looking for a highly experienced SAP S/4HANA EWM / MFS Functional Consultant / Principal Consultant to support international warehouse transformation and automation programs.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SAP EWM, SAP EWM MFS, warehouse automation, automated storage and retrieval systems, material flow systems, and end-to-end S/4HANA EWM implementations.
This role requires strong functional expertise combined with hands-on experience in automated warehouse environments, MFS monitoring, troubleshooting, integration, testing, cutover, go-live, and post-go-live support.
The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, warehouse automation teams, SAP teams, and customers to deliver complex warehouse transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
SAP S/4HANA EWM

Lead functional design, configuration, implementation, and support of SAP S/4HANA EWM solutions.

Participate in multiple end-to-end SAP EWM implementations.

Design and implement warehouse processes based on business and operational requirements.

Support complex warehouse process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
SAP EWM MFS
- Provide hands-on functional expertise in SAP EWM Material Flow System (MFS).
- Work on MFS integration with automated warehouse equipment and control systems.
- Monitor and troubleshoot MFS telegrams and communication issues.
- Analyze telegram flow, queues, errors, and warehouse automation messages.
- Support troubleshooting of communication between SAP EWM MFS and warehouse control systems.
- Work with automation teams for issue identification, testing, validation, and resolution.

Warehouse Automation
- Work closely with warehouse automation, WCS, PLC, and control-system teams.
- Understand material-flow processes within highly automated distribution centers.
- Support functional integration between SAP EWM, MFS, WCS and warehouse automation systems.
- Participate in automation testing, simulation, troubleshooting, and go-live activities.
- Analyze warehouse process issues and coordinate resolution across SAP and automation teams.
SAP Integration
Strong understanding of SAP EWM integration with:
- SAP MM
- SAP SD
- SAP PP
- SAP TM
- PP/DS
- QM
Work with cross-functional SAP teams to ensure seamless integration across business processes.
Testing & Deployment
- Prepare and execute functional test scenarios.
- Support SIT, UAT, regression testing, integration testing, and automation testing.
- Coordinate defect identification, analysis, resolution, and retesting.
- Support data migration and validation activities.
- Prepare and execute cutover plans.
- Support Go-Live and Hypercare activities.
- Provide post-go-live stabilization and production support.
Stakeholder & Delivery Management
- Act as a senior functional SME and customer-facing consultant.
- Lead workshops with business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Gather and document business requirements.
- Prepare functional specifications and solution documentation.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to junior and mid-level EWM consultants.
- Coordinate with offshore/onshore teams and multiple delivery stakeholders.
- Support delivery governance, status reporting, risk identification, and issue resolution.
- Participate in solution design and architecture discussions.

Required Experience
- 15+ years of total IT & SAP experience – Mandatory
- Strong experience specifically in SAP EWM
- Multiple end-to-end SAP EWM implementation projects
- Significant hands-on EWM MFS experience
- Experience working with automated warehouses
- Strong customer-facing and stakeholder-management experience
- Experience leading teams or functional workstreams
Candidate Eligibility – Mandatory

- Candidates holding valid Permanent Residency / country-specific PR or equivalent work authorization for the respective location.
Candidates must have the legal right to work in the applicable country.
Preferred Candidate Profile
We are looking for a senior SAP professional who can operate as a functional SME / Principal Consultant, independently lead EWM workstreams, communicate effectively with customers, and work across SAP and warehouse automation teams.
Strong exposure to automated distribution centers, MFS, WCS integration, and complex warehouse transformation programs will be highly relevant for this position.
