Principal Consultant
Principal Consultant DealCloud – London (hybrid working)
About the Role
The Principal Consultant is a senior role within Intapp’s Professional Services team, sitting at the intersection of strategic advisory, platform architecture, and enterprise delivery.
You’ll lead complex DealCloud implementations for some of our most sophisticated clients — including private equity firms, investment banks, and other financial services organisations — helping them unlock the full potential of the platform in ways that are practical, scalable, and directly tied to business outcomes.
Day to day, you’ll run end-to-end enterprise engagements:
- Working with senior stakeholders
- Designing tailored solution architectures
- Overseeing data migration
- Enabling client teams through training and documentation
You’ll also play a meaningful role within the consulting team itself by:
- Shaping delivery frameworks
- Supporting colleagues
- Contributing to pre-sales and scoping
This role suits someone who is equally comfortable in a client workshop and a complex data model and who finds genuine satisfaction in building things that last.
Responsibilities
As a Principal Consultant, you can expect to:
Lead engagements and client strategy
- Lead enterprise DealCloud engagements from discovery through to go-live, acting as the primary point of accountability for:
- Solution design
- Delivery quality
- Client satisfaction
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders by:
- Facilitating strategic conversations
- Translating complex requirements into scalable platform configurations
- Ensuring the solution aligns with business goals
Own data strategy and migration
- Own data strategy and migration planning for enterprise clients — analysing legacy datasets and designing architecture for:
- Clean, usable data from day one
Drive team consistency and growth
- Develop and apply design frameworks and QA processes that:
- Raise consistency and quality across the consulting practice
- Share knowledge with peers and junior team members
- Support internal colleagues and elevate the overall quality of delivery
Contribute to pre-sales and scoping
- Shape solution scope during pre-sales activities
- Support order form development
- Help prospects understand the value of DealCloud

Requirements
Intapp is looking for intellectually curious, self-motivated professionals who enjoy hands-on contributions to drive business and team success.
To excel in this Principal Consultant role, you will ideally have:
Strategic and technical expertise
- Significant experience in client-facing, project-based software implementation
- Proven track record of leading complex enterprise engagements
- Background in:
- Private equity
- Investment banking
- A related financial services environment
- Ability to understand firm operation and their technology needs
Technical and analytical skills
- Strong analytical skills to translate:
- Ambiguous requirements
- Complex solutions into structured, scalable platform outcomes
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with:
- SaaS platforms
- Data architecture
- Experience with:
- SQL
- Relational databases (preferred)
Communication and leadership
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills:
- Confident leading workshops with senior stakeholders
- Skilled at collaboration across internal teams
