Principal Core Infrastructure Engineer
Senior Distributed Systems Engineer

The ** Senior Distributed Systems Engineer** leads development and architecting components of scalable, elastic distributed systems.
Scope of Responsibilities
Defines and enforces scalability requirements for owned components, ensuring optimizations for high‑throughput, hyper‑scale workloads through:
- Code and data path refinement
- Leverage of data plane platforms for large‑scale retrieval, storage, and processing
Designs systems that prioritize fault tolerance, in-service upgradability, and robustness, incorporating:
- Redundancy
- Replication and failover mechanisms
- Policies for partitions
- Load-shedding
- Throttling
- Rate-limiting to ensure resilience during network unreliability while meeting Service Level Objectives (SLOs)
Establishes Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) with telemetry, building proactive dashboards and alerting systems. Implementing:
- Complex validation techniques (fault injection, brownouts)
- Replication and synchronization designs for correctness and durability
