Digital Futures is seeking a Principal Data Analyst
Digital Futures is seeking a Principal Data Analyst to lead analytical work that enables evidence-based decision-making for clients, focusing on clear insight, reporting, and decision support. The role bridges business questions and data, ensuring stakeholders have trusted, actionable information.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of analytical projects, dashboards, and reports that address key business questions.
- Work with stakeholders to understand decisions, define metrics, and translate needs into analytical requirements.
- Explore and interpret data to generate insights, identify trends, and highlight risks or opportunities.
- Establish and promote standards for reporting, data visualization, metric definitions, and self-service analytics.
- Mentor analysts across teams, reviewing work and providing guidance on analytical techniques and storytelling.
- Partner with data engineering and data architecture teams to ensure data foundations support analytical needs.

Skills & experience
- Significant experience in data analysis, BI, or analytics roles, ideally within consulting or complex organizations.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with BI/visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar).
- Solid understanding of analytical techniques, descriptive statistics, and how to apply them in business contexts.
- Experience defining and managing metrics, KPIs, and performance reporting.
- Ability to structure ambiguous problems, prioritize questions, and design clear analytical approaches.
- Excellent communication skills, both in written outputs and verbal presentations.
