Data Engineer
We’re partnering with a brilliant FTSE 250 business to find a Data Engineer to join their growing Data & Integration team.
We’ve worked with this business for a number of years and they’re genuinely one of our favourites. A brilliant, down-to-earth team, super collaborative culture and a company that really does invest in its people.
You’ll join an established data function, working on meaningful engineering projects across a large and complex organisation. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be building, improving and integrating data solutions, while working closely with some seriously good people across the wider technology team.
There’s also loads of opportunity to develop. The team are big on upskilling, giving people exposure to new areas and promoting from within, so it’s a great move for someone who wants to keep progressing rather than simply do more of the same.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You don’t need to arrive knowing absolutely everything. They’re much more interested in strong engineering foundations, the right attitude and someone who wants to learn and progress.
It’s a FTSE 250 business with the scale and investment that comes with it, but the team itself has a refreshingly collaborative, human feel. We’ve introduced a number of people here over the years who have gone on to thrive, develop and progress, which says a lot about the environment.
