Principal Data Platform Architect – BI & Analytics
£70,000–£80,000 | Fully Remote within the UK | Permanent
We’re working with a major global charity looking for a Principal Data Platform Architect to shape the future of its data, analytics and BI capability.
You’ll take ownership of the architecture and design of its modern data platform, helping define the technical strategy and roadmap while ensuring solutions are scalable, secure and properly governed. You’ll work across data warehousing, Lakehouse architecture, analytics, reporting and self-service BI.

A major focus will be integrating finance data from multiple systems into the central data platform, creating reliable data models and improving organisation-wide reporting. This is a senior technical role without direct line management, where you’ll set standards and guide developers and analysts.

Key Responsibilities
- Strong experience designing and delivering enterprise data platforms, data warehouses and BI solutions
- Proven experience implementing finance-data integrations from finance or ERP systems through to reporting
- Deep knowledge of data modelling, semantic layers and governed, reusable datasets
- Experience across cloud platforms, ETL/ELT, ingestion, orchestration and Lakehouse architecture, ideally within Microsoft Azure or Fabric
- Experience acting as a technical authority across data governance, security, quality and platform performance
