Client Overview
Sapien are working with a leader in Automotive Technology, who are genuinely at the forefront of their field. They hold a strong culturally collective, with a team who are passionate about the field, and working closely with cross functional teams to deliver so truly exciting projects in the Automotive space.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of both mechanical and electromechanical systems
- Act as technical lead for mechanical engineering on projects and major work packages providing clear engineering direction & decision making
- Work closely with suppliers, customers, and internal functions to achieve sound, manufacturable and cost-effective solutions
- Own complex mechanical problem solving, technical risk identification, and resolution through design reviews and gated development activities
- Mentor engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering capabilities, methods and processes

Skill Required
- Degree Qualified in Engineering
- Over 10 Years in Design with Principal level experience, delivering project from concept to production (high volume production), and a technical leader with customer facing experience
- Technically we need an electro-mechanical product experience in our Principal Designer, someone who has sound knowledge of the Electrical aspect of products as well as Mechanical
- Some with a firm grasp of OEM processes and expectations for full vehicle solutions and able to demonstrate experience of CAE requirements and inputs
