Lead Role for an Experienced Ecologist

Managing project delivery, technical quality and day-to-day ecology team operations at a growing planning, landscape and environment practice.

This is a great opportunity to develop your career within a friendly, established business, providing clients with the full range of ecological services including habitat and species surveys, assessment and advice on biodiversity mitigation.

Projects span housing, employment and commercial uses as well as other forms of development, including the built heritage and natural environment, minerals and waste. The in-house teams of experienced planners, landscape architects and ecologists work collaboratively to ensure clients receive the highest quality service and advice.

Your Role Will Include:

  • Project lead for Ecological Services
  • Supervising and supporting less experienced members of the Ecology team
  • Working with the Managing Director in the growth of the business

Requirements:

  • CIEEM Membership (Chartered ideal)
  • Relevant Undergraduate Degree
  • Detailed knowledge of ecological legislation and licensing
  • Demonstrable expertise either as a generalist or within a specialist topic area
  • Strong record of leading a range of ecological surveys and providing technical advice
  • Experience of producing a range of reports and providing sound ecological advice to clients and stakeholders
  • Being professional, trustworthy and acting with integrity
  • Committed to promoting the highest standards of practice
  • Team leadership qualities. Experience as a team leader in an ecology-related job role would be advantageous
