A respected environmental consultancy is seeking an experienced Principal Ecologist to join its growing team in Cardiff. Operating across infrastructure, development, utilities, and conservation sectors, the company delivers high-quality ecological services on projects throughout the UK.
The successful Principal Ecologist will lead ecological assessments, manage projects, mentor junior ecologists, and maintain strong client relationships. This Principal Ecologist role will involve overseeing surveys, technical reporting, and supporting multidisciplinary environmental projects from planning through to delivery.

Requirements
- Previous consultancy experience within ecology
- Strong report writing and project management skills
- Knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and planning policy
- Protected species experience desirable
- Full UK driving licence
- Full right to work in the UK
- Must live within or close to the Cardiff office location
