⚡ Principal Electrical Engineer | Oxford - £70,000 - £80,000

Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer looking for your next challenge?

An exciting opportunity is available for a Principal Electrical Engineer to join a growing building services team in Oxford, working on a diverse range of projects across sectors including heritage, education, healthcare, commercial, hospitality, transport, and public buildings.

You’ll play a key role in delivering projects from inception through to completion and handover, while working alongside experienced engineers, project leaders, and multidisciplinary teams.

🔧 The role

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading project surveys
  • Developing feasibility studies
  • Electrical design and project delivery
  • Preparing specifications
  • On-site supervision
  • Contract administration
  • Supporting the delivery and management of building services installations
  • Mentoring and supporting junior team members

👇 What we're looking for

You'll ideally have:

  • A relevant degree
  • 3–5+ years' experience in building services design
  • Experience managing or mentoring junior engineers
  • Experience working across multiple industry sectors
  • Strong Revit experience
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • A full driving licence and access to your own transport

Experience with other design and modelling software is desirable, although full training will be provided.
