London | Hybrid Working (3 Days Office / 2 Days Home)
£65,000 - £80,000 + Benefits
Our client is a well-established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering critical infrastructure and complex engineering projects across the UK. With exceptionally low staff turnover, the business is recognised for its collaborative culture, technical excellence, and commitment to long-term career development.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to provide technical leadership in the design and delivery of critical electrical infrastructure projects. This position offers the opportunity to work on high-profile schemes involving resilient power systems, HV/LV networks, standby generation, and other mission-critical environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of electrical infrastructure projects from concept through to completion.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to engineers within the team.
- Oversee the production and review of electrical designs, calculations, specifications, and technical reports.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
- Support project management activities, ensuring delivery of the programme, budget, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams and external consultants.
- Conduct site visits, surveys, technical assessments, and design reviews.
- Contribute to business development activities, client relationship management, and project bids.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practice.
