Principal Electronics Engineer
This Principal Electronics Engineer role focuses on the development of advanced sensing and instrumentation products within a growing technology business. The Principal Electronics Engineer will provide technical leadership across hardware development activities while remaining hands-on with design and validation work. The Principal Electronics Engineer will play a key role in shaping product architecture and future technology direction.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of analogue and digital electronic systems
- Define hardware architectures and technical requirements
- Develop schematics and support PCB design activities
- Perform hardware bring-up, testing and debugging
- Work closely with software, systems and mechanical engineering teams
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineers
- Support prototype development, verification and product release
- Contribute to technology roadmaps and engineering best practices

Requirements
- Degree in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline
- Extensive experience in electronic hardware design
- Strong understanding of analogue and digital electronics
- Experience leading complex product developments
- Hands-on laboratory testing and debugging experience
- Experience taking products from concept through production
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Desirable
- Experience with sensing systems, instrumentation or complex embedded hardware
- Knowledge of FPGA, embedded or high-speed digital systems
- Familiarity with signal processing or data acquisition technologies
- Experience supporting low-volume manufacturing and NPI activities
- Previous technical leadership or mentoring experience
